Mozart's Magical World Between Opera and Animation

The Magic Flute returns to the Düsseldorf Opera House on October 16, 2026. Mozart's classic work combines the traditional world of opera with elements of animation in this production. This creates a fantastic stage experience that links well-known music with a visually unique narrative.

A Journey Full of Trials

At the center are Tamino and Papageno, who embark on an extraordinary journey. Their path leads through trials that demand courage, endurance, and inner strength. At the same time, the opera tells of love, trust, and the search for enlightenment. The plot combines fairytale situations with fundamental questions about humanity and solidarity.

The combination of classical opera and animation offers a special access to Mozart's work. Fantastic images and musical design accompany the characters on their journey and create a world of stage between reality and imagination. Thus, the performance is aimed both at opera connoisseurs and visitors who wish to rediscover Mozart’s classics.
