THE NOhorn: A Cheeky Family Experience Full of Imagination

In the Heart Forest, a magical theater adventure begins: A little unicorn comes into the world, but instead of behaving friendly and unicorn-like, it just keeps saying "No." Soon the family calls it the NOhorn. The Young Theater of the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus brings the humorous story by Marc-Uwe Kling and Astrid Henn to the stage in a child-friendly manner.

When a Little Unicorn Discovers Its Own Mind

Children experience a colorful stage world where curiosity, contradiction, and independence play an important role. The NOhorn breaks out of the cotton candy world and encounters characters that are just as quirky and special. This creates an imaginative family experience filled with children's laughter, surprising moments, and plenty of room for shared conversations.

Age-Appropriate Theater with Learning Fun

The performance is aimed at children from 6 years old. The story addresses an everyday experience many families face: saying no, testing boundaries, and finding one's own way. This results in a child-friendly learning experience about feelings, self-determination, and community. The theater experience strengthens the development of expressiveness, empathy, and social understanding without being preachy.

An Hour Full of Wonder and Community

The performance lasts from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and takes place in Central 1. Directed by Philipp Alfons Heitmann and Matts Johan Leenders, the production combines the familiar picture book world with the immediate atmosphere of the theater and invites families to laugh together, think along, and discuss the little and big no's of everyday life.

Well-Planning for Families

The D’haus offers the performance as part of the Young Theater program. For children and young adults, a reduced admission of 7 Euros applies in Central, while adults pay 13 Euros. There is free seating in Central. Families will find a manageable theater visit that integrates well into a shared morning in Düsseldorf.

Conclusion: A Brave No Leads to Adventure

THE NOhorn offers families a warm-hearted mix of imagination, humor, and child-appropriate theater. Children discover a character that is different and yet finds its place. Adults experience an entertaining impulse towards independence and community. Secure your tickets now and experience the NOhorn live in Central.
