Dance Theatre about Strength and Solidarity
With “Women Who Carry the Island”, the Cooperativa Maura Morales presents a dance theatre piece at FFT Düsseldorf. The focus is on strength, solidarity, and invisible work. The production looks at activities and contributions that often remain in the background, yet play an important role in coexistence.
The evening invites the audience to perceive movements, relationships, and forms of collective action on stage. The title refers to an image of women who carry an island – a symbol of responsibility, endurance, and mutual support. It’s not just about individual strength, but also about the connection between people and the question of how solidarity can become visible.
Performance at FFT Düsseldorf
The performance begins on December 5, 2026, at 8:00 PM on Stage I of FFT Düsseldorf. FFT is a place for contemporary stage art. The work of the Cooperativa Maura Morales combines dance and theatre and addresses socially relevant topics.
“Women Who Carry the Island” is suitable for anyone interested in dance theatre, performative works, and pieces about social relationships. Instead of a classic event with a musical concert or party focus, the audience can expect a stage production that emphasizes body, movement, and shared reflection on invisible work.
