Magical Puppet Theater Evening with The Wish Punch
On Saturday, January 2, 2027, the Düsseldorf Puppet Theater invites families to a magical performance of The Wish Punch. The imaginative magical play based on the book by Michael Ende combines mysterious characters, humorous moments, and artistic puppetry into a special family experience during the Düsseldorf Christmas season.
A Story Full of Magic and Excitement
Beelzebub Irrwitzer and his Aunt Tyti have not yet fulfilled their quota of evil deeds. On New Year's Eve, a race against time begins: Will they manage to catch up on their delays? The story invites children from eight years old to dive into an unusual fantasy world and develop their own thoughts on good and evil, responsibility and solidarity.
Astonishment in the Historic Puppet Theater
On the stage of the Düsseldorf Puppet Theater, well-directed puppets, atmospheric images, and imaginative staging create moving scenes that children and adults experience together. The play with light, figures, and language creates a focused atmosphere where curiosity, imagination, and children's laughter find their place.
Aged Appropriately for Children from Eight Years Old
The play is suitable for adults and children from eight years old. The performance lasts approximately 130 minutes, including a break. This makes the theater visit an age-appropriate learning experience: children experience literature, performing arts, and storytelling theater directly and discover how characters come to life through movement and voice.
Quality Time at the Beginning of the Year
The Wish Punch has been part of the Düsseldorf Puppet Theater's program for many years and is particularly popular with the audience. The date during the Christmas holidays is ideal for families who want to spend time together and start the year with an imaginative theater evening.
Conclusion: Visitors can expect a humorous and mysterious puppet performance based on a well-known Michael Ende story, featuring imaginative characters and plenty of room for wonder. Those who want to experience theater as a family event with learning fun and a special atmosphere will find an extraordinary evening at the Düsseldorf Puppet Theater.
