A hit parade that gets the whole room moving

David Rolland's Hit Hip Pop Classic Parade transforms the tanzhaus nrw in Düsseldorf into an audio-guided dance party for young and old. The audience wears headphones and follows two dancers through original choreographies set to classical, opera, pop, rap, and disco.

Music mix between classical and club feel

Bach, Bizet, and Mozart meet well-known pop and disco hits. Musical references to the Village People, Fairuz, and music from Saturday Night Fever are also part of the diverse program. This creates a surprising music mix that recontextualizes classical melodies and directly transforms them into a lively dance floor atmosphere.

Dance together instead of just watching

The show actively invites the audience. Equipped with headphones, visitors experience a shared choreography, switching between grand gestures, rhythmic movements, and playful group scenes. The club experience here is not created by a DJ set, but by the immediate energy of a dancing crowd.

David Rolland and the art of collective movement

The artistic concept comes from David Rolland. His work combines contemporary dance education with popular music culture, turning a hit parade into a shared live experience. The audio-guided dramaturgy ensures clear impulses, surprising transitions, and a music mix that brings different generations together.
