OUTATIME brings the future live to the stage
What will our everyday life look like in five, 25, or 50 years? At the live podcast OUTATIME – Visions. Technology. Future., visitors will experience a discussion on technological visions, societal opportunities, and the limits of the possible on October 14, 2026, in Düsseldorf.
Thought experiments between science fiction and the present
The evening begins with a thought experiment by the AI assistant Ginee and opens the view to a possible future: personal AI assistants organize daily routines, autonomous vehicles navigate through the city, and digital systems increasingly influence our everyday life. What sounds like science fiction encounters concrete developments in the present.
Autonomous driving, robotaxis, and the city of tomorrow
The focus is on self-driving cars, robotaxis, and the question of how mobility in Düsseldorf could change. Roman Dumitrescu and Tommy Falkowski from Fraunhofer IEM provide context on current technologies, explain connections, and discuss how realistic a city without traffic jams actually is. It’s not just about technology, but also about safety, acceptance, and the impact on social life.
Science made understandable, relatable, and live
OUTATIME combines scientific expertise with entertaining conversation. The hosts work at Fraunhofer IEM and put technological future visions to the test. The event experience thrives on understandable explanations, controversial questions, and the special atmosphere of a podcast that comes not from headphones, but directly from the Düsseldorf event space.
