Since its founding in 1951, the Kunsthaus has stood for the preservation of art, beauty, and cultural memory. Victor Popescu dedicated himself to trading in antique oil paintings, carpets, and furniture as well as his expertise at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Today, his daughter Dr. Stela Popescu-Böttger leads the house and develops it as an exhibition space for local and international contemporary art.

For the double anniversary, the KHP studios are presenting themselves together for the first time. Ten artists have been working interdisciplinarily in the studio community since 2011, utilizing around 300 square meters. In close proximity to the studios, art becomes an experience as a process: materials, working methods, and individual visual languages enter into a dynamic dialogue.
