Sunny Side Up brings funk and soul to Kaiserswerth
On Friday, November 6, 2026, Sunny Side Up transforms Schlossallee 1 in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth into a meeting point for handmade music, groovy rhythms, and warm soul colors. The Düsseldorf band with roots in Angermund and Kaiserswerth presents exclusively its own pieces ranging between jazz, funk, and soul.
Groove with jazz, Latin, and reggae
Sunny Side Up combines rhythmic energy with modern jazz tones. Funky passages meet soulful melodies, while Latin and reggae influences open up the sound, and fusion elements ensure musical movement. The original compositions alternate between powerful grooves and relaxed, atmospheric moments.
A band with its own musical signature
At the center is the sextet led by singer Diana Peters. The arrangements thrive on precise synchronization, dynamic interplay, and a stage performance that creates closeness with the audience. Instead of merely copying well-known classics, the band focuses on original songs and a versatile jazz-funk sound.
Live atmosphere in a special setting
Schlossallee 1 is located in a historic train station building and offers a characterful environment for art, culture, and culinary delights. Between the stage, warm lighting, and direct audience proximity, a concert experience is created that invites listening, grooving along, and relaxed enjoyment. Party food complements the evening.
Musical highlights and awards
With The Living Room Session, Sunny Side Up achieved strong resonance in 2019 on TV channel 21 and was labeled the most popular television concert of the year by NRWISION. In 2020, the band received the WDR2 award for best band in the West. These milestones highlight the independent live quality of the Düsseldorf formation.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, the concert starts at 7:00 PM and is expected to last until around 10:30 PM.
