Angelic in Jeans brings Düsseldorf Indie-Rock to Lock Two
On Saturday, November 28, 2026, Lock Two in the Bilker Bunker will transform into a resonance chamber for modern Indie-Rock. Angelic in Jeans will present their debut EP at their release concert – with refreshingly distorted guitar melodies, driving drums, and a stage energy that sets everyone in motion.
Between Guitar Ecstasy and Contemporary Feelings
The Düsseldorf quartet combines catchy Indie-Rock structures with edgy sound and danceable dynamics. Pastel-colored guitars, striking riffs, and a pulsating drum set make up the soundscape of a band developing its own language between vulnerability, anger, and self-discovery.
Four Musicians, One Clear Sound
Angelic in Jeans consists of singer and guitarist Meryem, lead guitarist Vivian, bassist Alina, and drummer Paul. The four met at the Robert Schumann University of Düsseldorf. Their music focuses on the feelings of twenty-somethings and the question of how modern guitar music can be imagined with attitude and personal identity.
Debut EP as a Musical Breakthrough
After several singles like Internet, Florida, A-S-S, Get It Right, and Famous, the debut EP marks the next important step for the band. The new songs revolve around ideals of beauty, toxic relationships, burning anger, and the strength of deep friendships. The orchestration remains deliberately direct: guitars, bass, drums, and vocals intertwine to create a sound that is particularly physical live.
From Düsseldorf to Bigger Stages
The band received support from the City of Düsseldorf and was nominated for the popNRW award. Performances at the Reeperbahn Festival and Waves Vienna underscore the rise of this young formation. WDR described Angelic in Jeans as an energetic newcomer act with potential for sweaty Indie parties – a promise that the release show at Lock Two is likely to fulfill.
Live Atmosphere in the Bilker Bunker
Lock Two is located in the basement of the Bilker Bunker and combines curated music with striking concrete and light architecture. In this concentrated club atmosphere, the distorted guitars meet dry drums, immediate sound, and an audience mood that couldn't be closer to the stage. Doors open at 7 PM, and the concert starts at 8 PM.
Conclusion: An Evening for New Guitar Music
Those who want to experience Düsseldorf Indie-Rock in its energetic, personal, and raw form will find the perfect evening with Angelic in Jeans. The release show combines debut EP, club closeness, and a feeling of new beginnings – the sound unfolds most intensely live.
