Film Music Live at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf
When grand cinematic images meet symphonic sound power, a concert experience with a special magnetic effect is created. On November 19, 2026, the Leipzig Philharmonic will bring the emotional world of famous film scores to the stage at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf – featuring well-known melodies from Hans Zimmer to John Williams.
Hollywood Sound with Orchestral Impact
The program takes the audience through the history of film music and connects dramatic themes, heroic fanfares, and finely orchestrated sound colors. Announced highlights include excerpts from The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, James Bond, Star Trek, Superman, Inception, and other major film productions.
Goosebumps from Conducting and Synchronization
Under the direction of Chief Conductor Michael Koehler, the orchestra unfolds the precise synchronization of string carpets, brass accents, and rhythmic film music. The Leipzig Philharmonic stands for a warm, dark orchestral sound, dynamic stage performance, and a repertoire ranging from Baroque music to modernity.
An Evening Concert for Film Fans and Classical Audiences
The live atmosphere of the Tonhalle gives familiar soundtracks a new dimension. Dramatic crescendos, bright themes, and intricate orchestration allow the musical leitmotifs to be experienced immediately. The concert lasts about two hours, including an intermission; a seat is included with the ticket.
Leipzig Philharmonic: Internationally Experienced Ensemble
The Leipzig Philharmonic was founded in 2000 and has performed in Carnegie Hall New York, the Vienna Musikverein, the Berlin Philharmonie, and in renowned concert halls in Asia and Europe. Michael Koehler is internationally active as artistic director and chief conductor, combining classical sound culture with innovative concert formats.
What Visitors Can Expect
