With #IGNITION – SKYRIM: Nordic Fantasies, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf invites you to a symphonic concert experience for the whole family. The focus is on Nordic folk music, impressive fantasy soundtracks, and the fascinating sound world of Skyrim.
The Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra brings the musical landscapes of the North to the stage. Between folkloric motifs, orchestral drama, and fantastic sound images, a concert program emerges that connects various musical worlds. The music of Skyrim is just as much a part of the evening as Nordic traditions and the epic atmosphere of great fantasy stories.
Nordic Sounds and Fantastic Worlds
A special role is taken by the Hardanger fiddle player Ragnhild Hemsing. The traditional Norwegian instrument lends the concert a characteristic Nordic color and forms an exciting contrast to the large symphonic sound body of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra.
The program is aimed at families and anyone who enjoys orchestral music, Nordic folklore, or the soundtracks of fantastic game worlds. This creates a versatile concert evening that combines classical concert culture with popular fantasy music. The sound language ranges from calm and atmospheric to powerful and dramatic.
