An evening full of sound, wit, and great cinema magic

As the year 2026 comes to a close, the New Year's Eve Concert of the Berlin Philharmonic in the cinema becomes a special live experience. On December 31, 2026, CineStar Düsseldorf will bring the performance featuring Kirill Petrenko, Alexander Malofeev, and the orchestra to the big screen – as an emotional year-end celebration with precise orchestration, fine humor, and strong stage presence. The Berlin Philharmonic stream in the cinema combines the concert atmosphere with the intensity of a grand classical evening. Classical music with irony and lightness

The program focuses on clever contrasts: Prokofiev's Classical Symphony, Shostakovich's Double Concerto for Piano and Trumpet, Strauss, and Nicolai create an evening that works with a musical wink. The Berlin Philharmonic and Kirill Petrenko interpret the tradition not as museum pieces but as lively and pointed. This is precisely the strength of this concert recording: great works, finely balanced, with dynamic tempo and a clear sonic signature. A special performance for Alexander Malofeev

With Alexander Malofeev, a young pianist takes center stage, making his Philharmonic debut in this New Year's Eve concert. Together with principal trumpeter David Guerrier, a chamber-music sharply drawn double concerto emerges, pulsing between virtuosity and fine dialogue. For audiences in the cinema, this creates a concert experience with intimacy, richness of detail, and the excitement of a true premiere. CineStar Düsseldorf as a vibrant venue

CineStar Düsseldorf is located at Hansaallee 245, 40549 Düsseldorf. The cinema opens daily 15 minutes before the first showing, has several halls, and provides a comfortable infrastructure for a relaxed visit on the last night of the year. Its location in the western part of the city is easily accessible by car and public transport; the cinema also points out its own details about access, parking possibilities, and accessibility. Sound picture for a festive year change

In the cinema, the New Year's Eve concert unfolds differently than in the concert hall: the close-ups capture gestures, articulation, and musical communication, while the surround sound makes the audience's mood almost physically palpable. For classical music lovers, this not only presents a repertoire highlight but also a precise interplay of conducting, timing, and emotional tension. Thus, the year change becomes a stylish live moment with cultural significance. Conclusion: The New Year's Eve concert of the Berlin Philharmonic in CineStar Düsseldorf combines refined humor, great musical art, and a festive cinema experience. An ideal event for everyone who wants to celebrate the year's end with class, excitement, and true live atmosphere.
