Arvo Pärt's Silent Sound World live at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf

On April 11, 2027, the Estonian choir Vox Clamantis will dedicate itself to the works of Arvo Pärt at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf. Under the direction of Jaan-Eik Tulve, a concert night will emerge that balances spiritual depth, Gregorian tradition, and contemporary vocal music.

Transparent Choral Sound and Meditative Intensity

Arvo Pärt's music thrives on concentration, reduction, and the reverberation of individual tones. Vox Clamantis shapes this sound language with a transparent, yet warm ensemble sound. Voices merge into floating planes from which each line emerges clearly.

Vox Clamantis and the Close Connection to Arvo Pärt

Founded in 1996, the ensemble has maintained a close artistic collaboration with the Estonian composer for over 25 years. Its repertoire combines Gregorian chant with contemporary music, particularly focusing on the spiritually influenced sound world of Pärt. The Grammy-award-winning vocal ensemble has been recognized internationally for its recordings and exceptional stage performance.

Conducting with Fine Orchestration of Voices

Jaan-Eik Tulve leads the ensemble with precise conducting through finely graduated dynamics, long arcs of tension, and the characteristic tintinnabuli sound. In the acoustics of the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, vocal synchronization, breath, and space converge for an intense concert experience.

An Evening for Focused Listening

The Arvo Pärt Night is aimed at those who wish to experience choral music, spiritual sound traditions, and modern classical music in their most immediate form. The atmosphere among the audience arises from silence, anticipation, and the shared listening to music that unfolds its effect slowly.
