ABBA Now! brings Swedish pop euphoria to Düsseldorf

On October 24, 2026, the Large House of the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus will be transformed into a stage for immortal ABBA melodies, dark humor, and exuberant playfulness. ABBA Now! delivers not an ordinary tribute concert, but a vibrant musical theater experience with singing, acting, piano, and a good dose of anarchic charm.

Catchy tunes meet pointed stage comedy

ABBA is cult: passionately loved, hotly debated, and full of songs that even declared skeptics sing along to. Hanno Friedrich and Tilo Nest dissect the well-known Swedish hits with fine tailoring, full bodily commitment, and profound finesse. Accompanied by pop professor Alexander Paeffgen on piano, bold reinterpretations emerge between concert, acting, and musical parody.

A musical smorgasbord with surprise effect

The stage performance of ABBA Now! moves freely through the world music scene. Familiar melodies receive new rhythmic contours, the direction of their own body comedy replaces any routine, and the synchronization of singing, movement, and acting ensures an extraordinary live experience. Great emotions, daring dance performances, and tangible frictions spice up the evening.

More than two and a half decades of stage experience

For over 25 years, ABBA Now! has been shaking stages from Gothenburg to Vienna. The ensemble has been awarded the Baden-Württemberg small arts prize and combines musical precision with a deliberately irreverent approach to the Swedish pop legacy. The production showcases how much comedic potential, musical energy, and nostalgic radiance is hidden in ABBA's hits.

Live atmosphere in the Large House

At the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus, the acoustics of a large theater hall meet the immediate audience atmosphere of a comedic concert show. Between piano sounds, singing, and pointed stage action, a concert experience emerges that combines nostalgia and surprise. The audience experiences ABBA not as a museum sound but as a living template for a wild musical odyssey.

Conclusion: ABBA hits with attitude, humor, and heart

ABBA Now! promises an evening full of catchy tunes, stage energy, and quirky ideas. Those who love the great songs of the Swedish pop gods and want to experience them from a completely new perspective should not miss this musical theater concert at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus. Tickets are available from 42.50 euros.
