440Hz Classic & Pop: When Piano Art Meets Revolverheld

On Friday, December 4, 2026, two musical worlds that could hardly be further apart at first glance will meet in the Robert-Schumann-Saal Düsseldorf: the internationally successful pianist Sebastian Knauer and Johannes Strate, singer of the band Revolverheld. Their joint program 440Hz – Classic & Pop combines concert hall and pop stage into an extraordinary live experience.

Two Voices, a Musical Dialogue

Sebastian Knauer's precise piano playing meets the distinctive voice of Johannes Strate. Classical tonal language and modern rock-pop merge not into a side-by-side, but into a finely balanced musical dramaturgy. The arrangements give familiar melodies new contours and allow well-known songs to appear in a concentrated, immediate atmosphere.

From Bach and Schubert to Revolverheld

The program features piano works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Schubert, and Erik Satie alongside great Revolverheld hits. George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue is also among the announced highlights. The stylistic range opens up appealing contrasts: sometimes filigree piano lines, sometimes rhythmic pop energy, with the characteristic stage presence of Johannes Strate in between.

Virtuoso Stage Performance with Humor

The concert lives not only from orchestration, dynamics, and tonal synchronization. Knauer and Strate complement their musical collaboration with amusing moderations and a personal exchange about music, everyday life, and the small wonders and tricks of life. This creates an audience atmosphere that connects concert ambiance and closeness.

A Special Evening in the Robert-Schumann-Saal

The Robert-Schumann-Saal at the Kunstpalast provides the perfect setting for this cross-genre concert experience. Between clear acoustics, warm hall sound, and concentrated stage lighting, every nuance has room to breathe. The series 440Hz signifies encounters between classical music and various modern genres – this time with a duo that easily transcends musical boundaries.
